Like Russell stated the dems and urging folks to vote a straight ticket. Something I found that helped though was get to folks after them and mention that Lawson like Obama represents a change from the past eight years. Since they've registered so many new voters, it seems that a lot of them are just doing their 'duty' to vote and don't really know who they are voting for besides president. This is where poll workers come in to help educate those voters on issues and who the 'change' candidate is for the 4th District. One of the Dem poll workers told me they don't know why anyone would vote against David Price since he is such a sweetheart. I asker her about the Patriot Act and she said, "Well, we all make mistakes and I con forgive one mistake." I don't know that I can stand for someone making a 'mistake' with my civil liberties, and this was not the only 'mistake' he has made. The PATRIOT act, the $850 Billion bailout, the Iraq war?
